The main request of this position is to solve the problems that customers encounter when using our service, quickly and effectively, providing a quality level of service. There will be a lot of “out of the box thinking”, planning, documenting and diagramming infrastructure , problem resolution and solid methodical troubleshooting of various systems, including OS, software or network related issues. Ideal candidate: - degree in Computer Science combined with relevant experience (1-5 years) - good command of English (speaking and writing) - strong technical and problem solving skills - good communication and interpersonal skills, positive Can-do attitude - analysis and resolution of assigned incidents/task, willing to work overtime when necessary - programming experience, particularly with automation and debugging of services - installation and configuration of operating systems and applications; data migration; correct functionalities and update: • Microsoft Windows Server 2000, 2003, 2008 • Exchange 2000, 2003, 2007 • IIS, Sharepoint • MS SQL server 2000, 2003, 2005 • Sun Solaris 8,9,10 • Redhat Linux 3,4,5, FreeBSD, CentOS 4., 5.1 and other Linux types. • Apache, MySQL, PHP, SSH, HTTP, DNS, FrontPage,etc • Network fundamentals, routing, TCP/IP, Network Security, Load balancing, Firewall knowledge, and Data backup strategies. • Common Mail Server apps: Sendmail, Exim, Qmail, VPopmail • OpenSSH daemon and client • cPanel/WHM. • Generating and managing SSL certificates using openssl • Administrative Scripting and automation (VBScript, PERL) - available to work a shift system (weekdays, week-ends, 24/7 on-call rotation) Responsabilities: - answer emails and calls in a positive and friendly manner, utilize our support ticketing system - quickly identify problems that need to be solve - ensure all queries created are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer - make sure the customers can use the services by providing tuition and self-help instructions - create a record of each customer problem and administer the process - work with customers to develop and meet security policies - configure and troubleshoot network configuration - deploy, configure and troubleshoot firewalls and switches - support new package services releases - assist in evaluation of new security and networking products - ensure customer uptime through precise monitoring implementation, good chance management and incorporation of best practices - finding resolutions to problems and analyzing problem sets that require intermediate comprehension of relationship between multifaceted Internet programs, protocols and assortment of operating systems. - investigate and resolve escalated technical issues occurred - monitor the hosting infrastructure and investigate any issues that arise. - monitor data centre environments. - maintenance of dedicated server stock and deployment. - identify the hardware and software needed to provide solutions to problems - provide day-to-day facilities maintenance - participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions to further increase productivity. - constantly improve personal knowledge required to deliver a high level of technical competency.
