*Senior Java developer*
We are hiring a senior Java programmer to further develop the overall architecture and performance of our crawling technology to handle high volume data-crunching. We are looking for well-rounded developers who know how to create robust high-volume production applications, and can also develop prototypes quickly. You should have a good understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development.
*Requirements*
* BS or MS (or equivalent) in Computer Science; PHD a plus.
* Excellent understanding of, and practical experience with, Java web application development.
* Experience in programming multi-threaded applications.
* Knowledge of performance related issues pertaining to Java applications.
* Knowledge of SQL.
* Working knowledge of XML web services.
* Experience working within Unix/Linux environments.
* MySQL, Berkeley DB, Hadoop, Pig and Lucene experience desired.
* Fluent English.
