The current two product line development teams, the 24/7 Technical Support and the Technical Assistance team will be soon joined by a team focused on Project implementations. Descrierea postului: • Desktop support and administration for all EMEA eServGlobal staff • Design and management of eServGlobal's local development environment • Provision of a 24x7 technical environment • Installation, maintenance and running all required system backups and restore testing • Up-to-date documentation to cover all duties • Identification of tasks which require automation and automate them • Always up-to-date management of virus protection software and devices • Pro-active capacity planning • Hardware maintenance and upgrades • Maintain up-to-date records of all hardware and software • Regular software audits • Ensuring all software/hardware licenses are up to date. Where the number of licenses used exceeds licenses owned, ensure this is brought immediately to management attention. • Project development support • Security and penetration testing • Patching of software • Mentoring and training of eServGlobal staff members including System Administrators, and designated System Administration succession cover(s) • Assistance as required in the configuration of systems built by eServGlobal for delivery to clients • Staying up to-date on trends, tools and methods etc relevant to the Systems Administration function • Support and development of in-house software products • Input to the Global IT initiatives Cerinte: • Unix system administration experience, including: Linux (preferably Debian) Solaris 2.7 – 2.10 • Network administration experience • Windows and desktop support experience including: • Windows XP, 2000 Server and Workstation • Office 2000-2003 • Experience in creating and testing disaster recovery procedures We would normally expect the person to have at least 3 years System Administration experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of achievements in the role. • Experienced in scripting languages (PERL/Shell/PHP) • Ability to plan and implement system administration procedures • Knowledge of the following: • IBM “x” series server platform IBM ServeRAID RAID controller Email (Sendmail, Courier, Squirrelmail), DNS (BIND), NFS & Samba, LDAP (OpenLDAP), Firewalls and VPNs (Juniper Netscreen, Openswan IPSEC), SNMP(Netsaint/Nagios) SSH, CVS, Apache and Apache-ssl.
