Titlu Job: Senior UI/UX Designer

Our team delivers design and technology with passion for clients on 3 continents (North America, Europe, and Asia). We are a team of over 130 talented professionals located in 5 offices (San Francisco, New-York, Oradea, Targu-Mures & Cluj-Napoca). As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class talent on unique interactive projects, including mobile apps & responsive websites. Description At Lateral you will be a key member of the design team.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the principles and best practices of human interface design,  passion for and a detailed understanding of how interactive experiences should look, feel and function on the web, mobile devices and hardware. He/she is also connected to the design community and actively participates on websites like Dribbble or Behance and is up to date with industry standards and trends. You’ll regularly participate in strategic discussions that shape our services & products. The entire team works closely to develop new ideas, then you’ll quickly prototype concepts to share and refine. The position is for our office in Cluj-Napoca — we offer compensation for relocation if you do not currently live in our beautiful city. Responsibilities • Create user-flows, wireframes, concepts & visual interfaces based on briefs/ideas in collaboration with the design team • Evaluate your colleagues' design work and provide constructive feedback • Communicate clearly, early and often • Construct clean and organized creative deliverables that adhere to style guidelines • Deliver pixel-perfect visual designs (both for internal and external use) • Receive and be open to constructive feedback over creative input or design execution • Work in volatile environment, and constantly collaborate with various teams to improve and take the projects to the next level Experience, Qualifications, Skills and Technologies • 5+ years of experience (or a strong portfolio demonstrating a passion for design and skill in visual communication) • Proficiency in design software (Sketch, Principle, Photoshop, Origami Studio, Adobe Products, Illustrator etc.) • Strong aesthetic values (clean, simple yet quality) • Deep understanding of interaction design, visual design, typography, and photography • A strong portfolio, showcasing various styles and project type, preferably for different platforms (web, mobile, etc) • Ability to rapidly prototype ideas • Able to sketch or draw to communicate complex visual ideas quickly • Excellent written and spoken English skills • Good presentation, constructive (and diplomatic) criticism skills • Excellent organizational skills; an ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail • Strong comfort level with ambiguity and an iterative design process You get bonus points if: • You have some background in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc • You have experience in building and shipping world-wide known products • You have a passion for traditional graphic design practices, art, photography, or architecture • Highly professional, yet fun!
