Titlu Job: Oracle Database Administrator

Requirements: • Bachelor degree or Master degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. • 3+ years experience of database administration with Oracle 10g/11g/12. • 2+ years experience in database design including defining and analyzing ERDs • Working experience with online transaction processing systems • Good Database and SQL Performance Tuning skills and good understanding of Oracle Internal Structures • 2+ Linux system administration experience • Experience with system installation (both operating system and Oracle) and patching • Backup/Recovery knowledge • Experience writing PL/SQL (Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers). • BASH scripting language experience is an asset • Experience supporting mission critical relational databases are considered an asset • Certifications are considered a plus (Oracle Certified Professional / Oracle Master) • Oracle streams experience and/or knowledge • Experience and/or good understanding of RAC, physical and logical standby, and other high availability Oracle technologies is considered a plus. • PostgreSQL knowledge and experience is considered an asset • Strong communication skills in English (French is an asset) • Good problem solving and analytical skills • Strong team player • Make-it-work attitude under firm deadlines • Ability to work under pressure • Willing to travel abroad twice a year Responsibilities: • Participation in System Architecture planning and design • Database design and participation in design reviews and system design • Performance tuning and stress testing the systems • Reports development • Installation and configuration of system servers (hardware and software) • Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance • Database support and optimization post system deployment • Travel to customer sites globally to install the new systems and train system administrators following deployment.
