Titlu Job: Middle / Senior Database System Engineer (PostgresSQL / Linux)

With 150 employees, more than 200 large clients and managing over 2 billion $ of telecom invoices spent, our client covers a whole range of activities: Software Development / Installation / Maintenance / Support, Invoices Import (EDI and OCR) , Customer Support and Business Process Outsourcing(BPO) for our client’s customers. Through patented software, our client’s customers Fortune 200 clients are Java Web-based, using Oracle databases and employing the latest technologies. Iphone and other mobile clients are also being developed. Position overview • Design, installation, and support of the infrastructure including networking, hardware, and operating systems • Monitor the infrastructure for issues and bottlenecks • Infrastructure improvements such as but not limited to performance tuning, usability, and automation enhancements • Documenting project tasks and milestones • Recommending enhancements that provide a strategic advantage • Support the infrastructure and provide after-hours support Must have • Experience with common internet technologies such web, DNS, email, relational databases etc. • Experience with Oracle database configuration, administration troubleshooting • Experience with PostgreSQL configuration, administration troubleshooting • Previous experience with MySQL in a high performance environment • Scripting experience using Bash, Perl, VB, Powershell and batch scripts • Experience with CentOS and Ubuntu Linux administration including installation, patching and troubleshooting Other Skills and Abilities • Linux and system administration • Oracle administration • PostgreSQL administration, configuration and tunning • Ability to use scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Powershell and VB) • SAN administration • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with customers and the technical support organization • Ability to multi-task continuously • Good communication and organizational skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision within a team environment • Ability to problem solve and project manage complex activities Education and/or Training • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or management information systems or equivalent experience • Industry certifications such as Oracle, Cisco, Linux, or Microsoft is a plus Advantages and Benefits • Permanent Labor Contract, motivating salary based on skills and performance, meal tickets • Medical Insurance • The opportunity to develop a career within a stable multinational environment • Access to the last software technologies.
