Qualifications Needed:
5+ years of web based software testing experience;
Strong written communication skills in English;
Good use of automated testing tools;
Recent relevant experience working in a team lead capacity;
Experience working to an Agile methodology;
Demonstrable experience writing/enhancing automated tests for mobile and web application suites;
Detailed Knowledge & Experience authoring test plans and acceptance criteria;
Understanding of cloud environment / SaaS web based solutions;
Experience of exploratory testing;
Production, management and execution of test plans;
Exposure to multiple products, test methodologies, procedures, vitalisation of computer environments;
Management of bug tracking tools and test environments.
Nice to haves:
Having worked in an Agile environment;
Client facing requirements capture;
Experience in resource managing less experienced Testers;
Understanding of TDD;
Any exposure to Team Foundation Server;
Decent SQL scripting for testing;
ISEB/ISTQB qualification preferred.
Responsibilities:
Help define and continuously review and improve the QA/Test strategies, testing frameworks and QA environments required to meet the business needs;
Reporting & taking responsibility for the output and deliverables of the QA/Test team;
To ensure test plans are developed and executed in accordance to best practice and company standards;
Development of automated and manual test plans to ensure a high test coverage and meet the requirements;
To raise defect tickets and support development teams through to their satisfactory resolution;
To produce release notes and technical usage documentation where required;
To support and mentor junior members of the team to ensure they deliver effectively.
