Titlu Job: UX/UI Designer (junior/mid)
We're building Metabeta, a platform that helps investors and startups to work better together—from closing deals to managing introductions, metrics tracking, reporting, mentoring and more. We know it sounds boring, but to us (and our customers), this is pretty exciting 🤓.
We launched in January 2019 and are growing, developing new features and improving the existing ones. As a small team 👨🏻💻👨🏼💻👩💻👩🏼💻👨🏻💻🐱🐱🐱, our CEO handled most of the UX until now, but we got stuck, and that's why we need a passionate 💡designer on board! This is how an average day with us will look like if you decide to join:
You start your late morning with one or more cups ☕️☕️of freshly roasted coffee, catching up with others in the team on the latest gossip or fun stuff. Then, roll your sleeves and try to figure out what all that customer 👯♀️ feedback or wishes are all about (doublechecking our stats 📈 in Segment to understand also their behavior). You might want to get deeper into this, so you'll probably research some competitors 👹🤡, interaction patterns or best practices, before sketching your ideas. You can use whatever you want for this: paper, walls, computers—we usually can't wait to see what you come up with 🙄before we start throwing other ideas or 🔪weird comments at you. But you can defend 🤟🏻 your best solutions, incorporate whatever nonsense things we throw at you. It can be pretty frustrating sometimes (we won't lie to you) but you'll be excited 🤸🏼♀️ in the end about what you're doing. Which is turning this idea into a prototype in Axure or Figma, then seeing be implemented, launched (without a bottle of 🍾 champagne, maybe just more ☕️☕️☕️coffee), then smashed again by 🧨 customer feedback. Hopefully the last part usually happens monthly, so you'll probably survive. Of course, there are also the fun perks of working in a startup: a small (but cozy) 🏡office, cats 🐱🐱🐱 to play with (less expensive than Xbox or Playstation 🎮), no teambuilding (just cool colleagues and friends 🤹🏻♂️), no gym subscription (we know you don't use it, but if you want we have a garden that needs some 💪🏻muscle) etc. But we're offering more flexibility, meaningful stuff to work on, and a chance to learn from one of the UX pioneers in Romania (our CEO).
What about you? It's simple. If the above did not scare you, we want you to be ❤️passionate about design/UX, have some experience in the field (📆2 years, mas o menos), and know to use Figma, Sketch or Adobe XD 🛠, maybe some Axure RP.
