Titlu Job: Container Linux Engineer

About the Role

We are a fast-growing IT cloud consultancy and managed services provider based near Amsterdam looking for an Container Linux Engineer to join our new office in Bucharest. 

We are expanding our managed service operation to Romania, focusing on providing excellent platform support to large organizations across Europe. You will be part of the initial team, working directly with the client to build, manage, and support their infrastructure while helping shape, maintain, and improve our monitoring platform and operating procedures. 

You are someone with a history of excellence in building and supporting systems in a Linux environment. We expect you to think on your feet, efficiently diagnose and resolve unexpected issues,and have an eye for spotting tasks that can be automated.

We support autonomy and work in a flat organization way; expanding your knowledge regarding cloud and container technology is something we will stimulate and facilitate. 

What your expertise is

  • Strong Linux system administration skills: operating systems (RHEL), databases, monitoring,networks, load balancing, firewalls, etc.
  • Experience with containers (Docker) and container orchestration technology (preferably OpenShift, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with infrastructure automation (Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills of system, network, and application related issues
  • Understanding of IT service management principles
  • Writing quality documentation: operational procedures, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and runbooks
  • Ability to execute given assignments in a self-directed manner and take ownership
  • A mindset of automating repetitive tasks and interest in open source technologies and tools
  • RHCE/RHCA certifications are a plus
