Titlu Job: Azure Data Engineer
Contract: 1 year full-time (freelance), with an option to renew
Location: Remote (after corona, 1 day of travel to Brussels every 3 weeks will be required)

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer for a new Azure implementation project for an international retailer. You will be part of a team building an advanced data analytics platform that will be used to deliver customer-centric insights from omni-channel interaction and commerce, as well as supply chain and IoT, in order to provide stronger and more accurate insights to the business. The platform is used continuously and is improved to support other capabilities such as data science, machine learning, and AI.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines for Azure Data Lake
- Implementing data quality checks and data lineage & reconciliation mechanisms (incl. monitoring dashboards and alerts)
- Implementing data cataloguing, archiving, and disaster recovery
- Working with other teams to align on data structures and schemas
What your expertise is
- Good knowledge of Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services
- Experience with implementing data ingestion pipelines / ETLs and ELTs
- General knowledge of Azure platform and ecosystem
