We’re looking for a star, aka a Creative Designer, to join our galaxy!

As a star, your role will be to shine and make our client's planets shine too. To inspire and be inspired. To make pixels and vectors dance together with emotion, style, purpose, in an eye-blinding, glittering pattern; last but not least, you’ll be a true partner in the unique Lateral creative process.

Your ‘office’ will be a combination between San Francisco, New York, and sometimes on airplanes, taxis, tuk-tuks, or boats. When in Transylvania, we do not exclude horses.

The day-to-day (night-to-night) will vary so much that you’ll never get bored: designing apps, websites, creative strategies, product thinking, and innovation workshops. And experiences. It’s insane how good this gig really can get and we can’t quite believe we get paid for doing what we love.

The key tasks of this Designer Extraordinaire are:

  • Designing: end-to-end experiences (apps, websites, products) including IA, UX, XD
  • Instilling a layer of creativity in everything we do
  • Developing client relationships
  • Mentoring (developing) colleagues and partnersHelping wherever is needed
  • A love for Chocolate, whiskey, or funky cocktails
  • Laughing and winning
  • Explain to an 80 yrs old grandma what is Gradient Mesh in Illustrator. Told you we do like round numbers...

Our dream person for this job:

  • Doesn’t care about titles such as  “UX” and “Visual Designer” or ‘Graffiti maverick’. A designer is a designer -  both in spirit and craft. A designer whose ego is in the project first and foremost.
  • Sharp, quick, and consistent. You will need to take requirements, identify the users' real challenges, and design UIs that solve them. You will create wireframes, flows, timelines, envision edge-cases, and articulate why some designs are better than others.
  • An exquisite communicator (verbal and via fax)
  • Has razor-sharp attention to detailHas a deep understanding of people.
  • Exuberates positive energy
  • Built in ‘The answer is yes, what’s the problem?’ attitude.
  • Someone who is devastatingly creative and can sing, dance, and do karate moves backward*
