Titlu Job: Quality and Product Support Engineer
The role is as part of the Quality & Product Support Team, supporting manufacturing sites to improve yield, diagnostics response times and in providing detailed reports to the end customer.
To work on ECU related failures (including Micro-controller related failures) on an Electrical Power Assisted Steering system, controlling a 3-phase brush less motor.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Detailed note taking.
• Writing of Diagnostic reports.
• Writing of Containment tests for introduction at the manufacturing facility, these tests need to display the test status on a PC Screen.
• Liaising with Supplier and System Application Engineers.
• Reporting to a manager regularly on progress, and any new issues which are diagnosed.
Personal Characteristics:
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Combined hardware and software skills and experience (minimum of 2 years).
• Working knowledge of CAN protocol – Use of CANape.
• Excellent knowledge and experience of writing embedded code down to a very low level, working confidently in either C, or Assembler
• Micro-controller Diagnostics / Fault finding
• Ability to read and understand electronics at the schematic level.
• 3-Phase Brush-less motor control and monitoring experience.
• ST10/C167 experience preferred but not essential
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Willing to travel (both UK and abroad)
• Candidates should preferably be Certified Six Sigma Green belt.
