Titlu Job: Hardware Design and Development Engineer for UK (permanent role)
This role is for an engineer to perform a design and development role, for circuits used in complex Automotive products. The engineer will be expected to participate in technical investigation and design task with minimal supervision in Embedded products. The role requires skills in the design of electronics, from Micro-processing cores to interface electronics for a variety of sensors and actuators plus power supplies. In addition the role will be involved in a large portion of the products life cycle, from requirements capture through the design and validation/verification activities to supporting product introduction into high volume manufacturing.
Principal Accountabilities:
• To take responsibility for designing a circuit, testing, analysing, documenting said design then performing any required validation to confirm that it meets customer requirements.
• To become familiar with production processes and products in order to design high quality products.
• To perform FMEA and reliability analysis on a design.
• To perform a full analysis of a circuit, using simulation and other classic techniques
• To design and test any support equipment that may be required.
• To be able to co-ordinate the work of a technician and take responsibility for performing a Validation program.
• Able to support customer testing/development programs
• To gather customer requirements and supervise off-shore based resource.
Key Skills/Personal Characteristics:
• A degree qualified Graduate or equivalent in Electronic Engineering
• Knowledge of analogue circuit design
• Ability to analyse and document circuit performance
• Strong interpersonal skills with the enthusiasm and tenacity to drive improvement
