The Operational Support System (OSS) programme in 3 is responsible for the specification, testing and delivery of end to end network management solutions to the business. The OSS Tech Lead will focus on providing the best possible OSS solution for integrating 3's networks, servers and applications into the selected existing OSS applications and if necessary suggest suitable new ones. The OSS Tech Lead will focus on providing the best possible OSS solution for integrating 3's networks, servers and applications into the selected existing OSS applications and if necessary suggest suitable new ones. •Understand 3's complex network and application architecture. •Understand the Impact Analysis prepared by Tech lead and convert to low level requirements •Design, Develop, Document and Implement OSS SM solution as per operational requirements, following ESL standard procedures and practices. •Liaise with OSS Operations to ensure all developments are rolled out adhering to the agreed quality procedures and documentation •Provide support to OSS Ops if needed with OSS technical issues KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS - Hardware / Servers: IP & IT, network architecture knowledge- Core & RAN network architecture knowledge - Operating System: Unix system Administration and application support (preferably in Solaris or Unix), Windows, Linux . - Database (RDBMS): Oracle,SQL - Applications/Software/Tools/Packages: Star team, Test Director - Software / Systems Development Life-cycle: Agile methodology - Development Tools, Languages: Perl/POSIX shell programming, Java Programming ; HP OVIS,SIP, Dashboard,Service Desk,HP NNM, Ciscoworks 2K, HP OVO ,HP OVPM, HP Event Correlation Services (ECS) implementation; NetCool - Structured Development Methodologies: CMMI, ISO; Six Sigma - Industry Knowledge: Experience in ISP/Telecom environment - Standards and Procedures: Knowledge of communication technologies and protocols relevant to application management and internet service providers (TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP, DNS) PERSONAL SPECIFICATION - Self Motivated - this individual will be relied on to drive their own work forward - Adaptable - Team friendly - must support and work closely with people across the whole OSS programme - Business aware - able to understand and react to the business issues driving the work as well as the technical ones - Customer aware – Understand what the customers day to day needs are - Flexibility - Communication Skills- Written & Verbal
