Our client is one of the world’s largest mobile community with equity interests in 27 countries and Partner Networks in a further 32 countries. Seeking to enlarge its team from Malta, we are currently looking for a Software Developer.
Descrierea postului:
Reports to: Software Development Manager
Role Purpose: To develop new services/products and perform other software integration tasks as required by the company. To perform systems analysis, write and document software, and provide other technical input as required according to specifications and within set time frames.
Key Accountabilities / Key Activities:
1.Execution of software development life cycle:
Analysis of requirements and detailed design.
Software build, customisation, configuration and testing.
Application software maintenance (for in-house developed software).
Active participation in application deployment/integration.
Participation in decision processes related to shared services build (databases and middleware).
2.Project team member:
Active participation in internal and external project teams, representing the Engineering & Operations Department.
Undertakes to promote teamwork and commitment with peers and other departments.
3.Assess industry developments:
Keeps up to date with industry developments, ensuring that best practice is adopted and seeks to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Undergoes training and personal development courses as arranged by the Company.
Cerinte:
I.T. related professional qualification.
Knowledge of telecommunications network systems and services considered an asset.
High standard of software programming techniques and broad hands-on knowledge of various programming languages and paradigms.
Ability to deliver in dynamic environments.
Ability to produce high quality software in tight timeframes and under constant pressure.
Must cope with dynamic and ambiguous situations.
Ability to deliver in a values based organisation.
Capabilities to work in projects with an associated high degree of complexity.
Working within an international environment and to international standards.
English language is a must.
Good communications, presentation and negotiations skills.
Believes in team working, good at building links and trust with people.
Takes responsibility for targets.
